Tasty treats and eats that're just neat!

Howdy peeps,

So it's that time of year again...'It's Christmas'!! Well you probably already know that but what you definitely do know is that this time of year = calories, calories and more calories. So here at 'eat me drink me' we have came up with a few handy hints to help guide you through the calorific season with taste and flavour but without the sinful stuff that ends up on your hips in January.

First up is the most important thing: Desert!

Pears poached in 'drink me's' marvelous mango tea.

What you need:
1.1tbsp of cranberry jelly
2. A handful of cranberries
3. 50g of sugar
4. 2 filter bags filled with marvelous mango tea
5. 4 firm pears, cored and halved
6. Yogurt

Throw the cranberry jelly, sugar, honey, 2 teabags (with a tsp of tea in each) and 600 ml of water in a pot and bring to the boil, remembering to dissolve the sugar. Pop the pears in and simmer for up to 15 minutes until the pears are softened. Remove the pears and add the fresh cranberries and heat until a syrup forms, take the teabags out, add the pears and yogurt to serve.

Oh I almost forgot the last step...EAT ME because it's only 131 calories per portion.
